Therapy For Children and Teens In A Safe And Respectful Atmosphere
PSYCH|assessment resources, PLLC provides a safe and respectful setting where you and your child can discuss current challenges and how your child’s typical feelings, thoughts, and behavior contribute to those challenges.
Various therapy techniques are used such as Behavioral Therapy or BT, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy or CBT, and School Related Counseling for a well-rounded, healthy and balanced approach.

Behavioral Therapy BT
PSYCH|assessment resources, PLLC provides individual BT, parent instruction, coaching and consultation regarding current applications of behavioral techniques for behavioral disorders.
BT is a therapeutic approach that focuses on changing undesirable behaviors. BT involves identifying objectionable, maladaptive behaviors and replacing them with healthier types of behavior. PSYCH|assessment resources, PLLC provides instruction with school-based behavioral intervention to address academic success and classroom problems.
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy CBT
PSYCH|assessment resources, PLLC provides CBT to address anxiety disorders. CBT is an integration of cognitive, behavioral, affective, and social strategies for change (Kendell et al., 1992) and is based on models of learning.
Principles of classical conditioning, operant conditioning, cognitive learning theory, and social learning are the underpinning of CBT strategies used to treat childhood anxiety. A number of integrated cognitive-behavioral treatments have been developed and tested for childhood anxiety disorders such as the Coping Cat Program and the Life Skills Program.
School-Related Counseling
PSYCH|assessment resources, PLLC provides school-related counseling for At-Risk youth. Individual and small group counseling is provided to address social skills development, grief and loss, adjustment/coping issues, anger management, friendship skills, academic motivation, and behavioral concerns such as school refusal, school phobia and school avoidance, ADHD behaviors, self-esteem of children with a learning disability or other concerns.
